Minnesota on fire at the 2007 Delta Epsilon Chi International Career Development Conference

Minnesota was wellrepresented at the 2007 International Career Development Conference, April 21 –24 in Orlando, Florida. Minnesota was the second largest delegation with 181 delegates.

Five people were recognized for Outstanding Service to the organization at the Grand Awards Ceremony. Three of the five were from Minnesota –Glenice Hall, State Advisor; Lyle Holscher, Advisor for the Professional Sales Chapter at Alexandria Technical College, and Tom Joseph, Advisor for the Sales and Marketing Chapter at St. Cloud Technical College.

Career Development Conference

February 20 - 23, 2007 students from around the state will be attending the Career Development Conference at the DECC Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center.

Jodee Bock will Light the Fire with her entertaining and inspiring keynote during the Opening Session on Tuesday evening, February 20, 2007. The 2006 Outstanding Service and Honorary Life Awards will be presented during this session.

Wednesday and Thursday will be the competitive events. The competitive events enhance the classroom instruction by providing students the opportunity to test their knowledge and skills in a variety of career paths. The top placers of these events will be recognized at the Awards Ceremony on Thursday night and will advance on to the International Career Development Conference.

The conference gives members the opportunity to network, visit with business leaders and the chance to enjoy the sites of Duluth. Spirit Mountain will be providing a special ski package offer for the attendees from 4 PM 8 PM on Wednesday, February 21. Students can also slide into fun at the Party in the Park hosted by the Best Western Edgewater.

International Career Development Conference

The adventure will begin once you arrive at the Caribe Royale. It is located minutes from Walt Disney World®, Disney-MGM Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park, Epcot®, Universal Studios and SeaWorld Orlando®.
