This year's Walk began with the second "Survivors Walk". Survivors were recognized with a 2008 Walk pin as they shared the number of months and/or years of a cancer free life. We were honored to have them in our presence. Also, among the walkers were friends and family members of students', SCTC campus faculty and staff. Everyone shared how cancer has touched their lives. It was an emotional, yet successful day against the FIGHT!

The total raised at the end of the Walk on December 3rd was $6200.00+! Once again the students surpassed last year's goal. Each of the Team Leaders set out and succeeded with their team members to contribute to the cause.

Caring & Compassionate Students Walk the Halls of SCTC for the 4th Annual Campus Cancer Walk

By Becky Shand, DEX Advisor

I walked around a track today; I walked to help a disease go away.
I walked because there is need; I walked that bodies could be freed…I walked for everyone to see; I walked for you, I walked for me.

The Flood of 2007

DEX Helping Rushford

This is the first house we worked on in the morning. We took off the first 4 rows of siding on the outside and gutted the inside to allow the house to dry. The water level in most of Rushford was 5 feet. The first day after the flood many Rushford inhabitants had to use boats to get back and check on their house.
