Kevin W. Leecy

Kevin Leecy serves as Public Relations Director for Fortune Bay Resort Casino in northern Minnesota. He works hard to create positive working relationships with other entities for the benefit of all.

He currently serves as: President - MN American Indian Tourism Association, Vice Chairman-Lake Vermilion Resort & Tourism Association, Co-Chair, Marketing/Retail – Virginia/Mountain Iron/Gilbert Chamber of Commerce, Board Member - Minnesota American Indian Chamber of Commerce and the Minnesota Tourism Advisory Council. He is also involved in various local Chambers of Commerce and civic related organizations.

Kevin is a founding Member of the Minnesota American Indian Tourism Association, elected as Tribal Chairman Bois Forte Band of Ojibwe, public relations director of Fortune Bay. As Tribal Chairman, with a platform of economic development, Leecy wants to meet with businesses to increase commerce on the reservation "so we can employ our people." Leecy has a history of bringing people together to accomplish a greater goal. He did this in 2001, as a founding member of the Minnesota American Indian Tourism Association (MAITA). He knows that the reservations, full of history and rich culture, have much to offer the people and tourists of Minnesota. In January of 2004, the Minnesota American Indian Tourism Association merged with the Minnesota American Indian Chamber of Commerce (MAICC). This will allow the two organizations to better serve its Indian constituents and Tribal governments and work together for the betterment of Minnesota.

Kevin said, “I am very thankful for being part of Delta Epsilon Chi. It taught me leadership in business and provided an experience that can’t be taught in the classroom.”
