I walked around a track today; I walked to help a disease go away.
I walked because there is need; I walked that bodies could be freed…I walked for everyone to see; I walked for you, I walked for me.

- and some guests walked the halls continuously for 4 hours to honor cancer survivors and remember those who lost their fight.
This year’s Walk began with the first ever “Survivors Walk”. Survivors were recognized with a 2007 Walk pin as they shared the number of months and/or years of a cancer free life. We were honored to have them in our presence. Also, among the walkers were friends and family members of students’, SCTC campus faculty and staff, and our friends from the Workforce Center. Everyone shared how cancer has touched their lives. It was an emotional, yet successful day against the FIGHT!
The total raised at the end of the Walk on November 28th was $6106.00! This was $1000.00 above the amount raised at the 2006 Walk. Each of the Team Leaders set out and succeeded with their team members to contribute to the cause.
Some donations are still flowing in, so if you would still like to give contact a member of one of the 10 CLUBS or Becky Shand or Gerry Schewe, DEX Advisors/Sales and Management Instructors. You can make checks payable to the American Cancer Society.
Thank you to the Team Captains, Walkers, and the Generous Donors of the 4th Annual CAMPUS CANCER WALK 2007!
May your holiday season be filled with health, joy and peace,
